Celebrating Chef Jacques Pépin! ’90 at 90′

The Director of Operations for the Jacques Pépin Foundation, Marissa Ain and the foundation’s Culinary Producer, Susan Wilbur have invited Chef Norman Van Aken to head up two major dinners in Florida for the program titled, “90 at 90”.

The overall vison for this element of the Jacques Pépin Foundation is to hold approximately 90 events across America over 2024/2025 of various sizes, styles and price points to celebrate the life of the amazing Chef and Educator. They have asked me to help put together a ‘grand dinner’ in Orlando at NORMAN’S as well as one in Miami, (Coconut Grove) at ‘Sereia’, which has two Michelin stars in their original one in Portugal.

Each dinner will feature visiting guest chefs and serve up to 100 guests. Union Square Hospitality Founder, Danny Meyer launched the first one at ‘Marea’ in NYC. Thomas Keller is doing one at “The French Laundry” and Daniel Boulud at “Daniel”. This will be the case across the country as so many want to pay homage to Chef Pépin! The Miami date is being worked on and the one in Orlando at NORMAN’S is set for February 28th, 2025.
