I was a guest on this podcast hosted by Amy Drew Thompson, the beloved food editor of The Orlando Sentinel and ‘Biggie’ Bencomo. Listen on your way to eat something delicious! I so enjoyed the great questions these two curious, intelligent, food and restaurant community leaders. A wide ranging conversation with folks I love hanging out with. Hit the link and listen. I’d love to read your comments!
We were able to go back to the times before Instagram, Influencers, Tik Tok when the world of cuisine was emerging in America in new and vital ways. I sort out the genesis of ‘New American Cuisine’, “New World Cuisine”… why I push back on that term ‘Floribbean’ and more.
We get into my entrance into the Orlando restaurant orbit with the debut of my namesake, “Norman’s” which was within the beautiful Ritz-Carlton, Grande Lakes for 16 years with countless memories!
We also chatted about the big James Beard Foundation event I am hosting at our restaurant October 10th starring the chefs and restaurateurs in this amazing image! It will be at our new location in the Dr. Phillips area of the City in the Dellagio Plaza.
For tickets copy and paste this and we will see you there!
